Outstanding soba noodles and service. Not sure if it was a fluke that I was able to walk in and sit down immediately as the place was rather busy and it was peak hours on a Monday night. I was by myself but there was a second seat next to mine available at the counter. There was a lot of hustle going on and the staff was very helpful and kind. English menu is a plus! I ordered cold soba noodles with pork cutlet and a side of green beans and tofu with sesame sauce. Call me a nerd but I enjoy cold soba and dipping my noodles in the broth so I ordered it that way (this also helps keep the Katsu pork cutlet crispy). The noodles were spot on and the pork cutlet was soft and tender with the perfect crisp outside. The broth was good enough to drink by itself so the three items together were near heavenly. Not forgetting the green beans and tofu that I had to have a second helping of. My one and only complaint comes down to language barrier. If I knew the proper term in either French or Japanese I'm sure they would've understood me, but there was no rice water to mix with the broth after finishing the noodles as an after dinner drink. This is part of the cold soba noodle experience that I loved from trips to Japan and especially Kyoto. Next time I will know how to properly ask for that perfect finisher to complete my meal. I will definitely visit this restaurant every time I'm in Paris. So very good.
